If we can't save Detroit there's no point in trying to save America.

I think every city and state needs a trigger law that leadership be transferred to the opposing party automatically when after 10 years things don’t turn around economically. I guarantee you that the only people fighting that idea would be democrats.

It is still illegal to eliminate the Rats? Then don’t even try.

I very narrowly missed working for Pontiac's truck and bus division back in the mid 80s. Glad I did not end up in Detroit.

I like what I do and my company, a lot. But there is a short list of places that if I were told I had to relocate to... Well, I'd quit and do whatever I could rather than go there. Detroit is #2 on that list. #1 is "anyplace in California." Just to level-set you people... I have volunteered for 3 different assignments in the middle east with my company, ranging from 90 day deployments to a 2+ year commitment. Yet I would walk away from this same job if told to go to CA or Detroit.

No problem, Obama and the entire Democrat party have been working hard to save Detroit since 2009. Their plan is to get the rest of the country into the same condition that Detroit is currently in so that things don’t seem so bad to Detroit residents. It’s working!

A few weeks ago, I read a piece by a liberal writer, who explained that it wasn't government run by democrats fault.

Are you ready for his explanation?

It was white flight.

Detroit should be made to sell its art collection, or trade it to the Smithsonian in return for any Federal cash.

I kinda like the “sell Bellisles and turn it into a protectorate” idea, though.
