REVEALED: OBAMA CAMPAIGN BUNDLER HELPING FUND LIBERTARIAN IN TIGHT VA. GUBERNATORIAL RACE

A major Democratic Party benefactor and Obama campaign bundler helped pay for professional petition circulators responsible for getting Virginia Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Robert C. Sarvis on the ballot — a move that could split conservative votes in a tight race.

Campaign finance records show the Libertarian Booster PAC has made the largest independent contribution to Sarvis’ campaign, helping to pay for professional petition circulators who collected signatures necessary to get Sarvis’ name on Tuesday’s statewide ballot.

Austin, Texas, software billionaire Joe Liemandt is the Libertarian Booster PAC’s major benefactor. He’s also a top bundler for President Barack Obama. This revelation comes as Virginia voters head to the polls Tuesday in an election where some observers say the third-party gubernatorial candidate could be a spoiler for Republican Ken Cuccinelli.

I think every Republican should re-register as a Democrat - go into the voting booth and vote for conservatives - that way, none of the real Democrats will know what the heck is going on in order to “Fix” anything!

"No law against it."

You are correct, there is no law against funding a third party in an effort to split the vote of your main opponent. The Democrats play to win, the GOPe not so much. Remember that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. The GOPe is insane in terms of actually wanting to win elections and govern the nation.

Sarvis isn’t a “fake” libertarian candidate, he is the real and authentic libertarian candidate.

Sarvis is a libertarian, the democrats are just helping to magnify his campaign.

How about in this race, or the 10 or 11 races it cost in 2012?

All voters in Va need to understand that Terry McAuliffe (and Hillary Clinton) are key chinagate figures along with then General Ji, the military intelligence director of the People’s Liberation Army and Colonel Liu Chao Ying.

The Founding Fathers would roll over in their graves, if they saw what we allowed the Supreme Court to do.

You can believe that if you want but I don’t.
His positions are incoherent and inconsistent.

He is all in on medicare expansion and taxing based on miles driven. Medicare expansion is de facto support for OCare implementation. OCare is the most egregious infringement on liberty in decades. Most decidedly NOT a libertarian position. Taxing based on miles driven requires the government to monitor where and when you drive your car. Is that something a normal Libertarian would support? I think not.

Just because he’s cool with legalizing drugs doesn’t make him libertarian. Stupid, maybe. Not Libertarian.

You may believe he’s the real deal. I do not.
Furthermore, I believe he was another test case to see if the strategy of splitting conservative votes will work. Time will tell, but I suspect, in this case, it worked.

Here in Southwest Virginia, turnout seems to be normal for an off-year election, but low compared to 2012. Lots of GOP signs, very few Dem signs and the few of them that are out there are for McAuliffe only. So, Cuccinelli is winning the sign battle in SW VA and that is a real good “sign”.

Sarvis may not be pure enough on every issue for you personally, but Sarvis is the actual libertarian candidate, and is true to the libertarian positions on abortion and drugs and the homosexual agenda.

As a libertarian you have to decide who is more libertarian, the democrat, the republican, or the actual living, breathing libertarian.

Obama & the Dems want complete controls on companies and Conservatives & what they can donate to elections, but they can twist the laws all over the place.

Such ethics!!!

If he were a libertarian with any honor, knowing full well he can’t do anything but help the liberal democrat win, he would take the advise of the most successful libertarian candidate in the last 50 years by the name of Ron Paul and tell his supporters to vote for Cuccenilli. Libertarians are closet democrats and that’s why they love to see democrats beat republicans.

What can you do other than replace them in primaries? There is just no alternative. I can see voting for a Democrat to get rid of Lindsay Graham. Getting him out of the picture is that important. But don't vote for these third parties they don't defeat the rinos they only beat the real conservatives.

Not surprised. They learned from Clinton Perot Bush. And you have gazillionair socialists like Soros funding the deception.

Someone here has a tag line to the effect ‘ too conservative to be libertarian and too libertarian to be a conservative’. That kind of defines me but not exactly. Bb

If I were to describe me, it would be a ‘constitutionalist’. But I find myself voting for the most conservative candidate as they are the candidates I can only, in my heart, vote for.

Make sure they lose in the general. The GOPe blurs the line of what Conservatism and liberalism are. They provide cover for the Dems and actively attack the Conservatives that they are supposed to side with. If you want to defeat the Dems, and their liberalism, first you must defeat the GOPe and its liberalism.

If we can't replace them in the primaries, then make sure they are replaced with a full blown liberal in the general. With out the GOPe providing the Dems cover, the LIVs will see them for what they and their policies truly are. It will be painful, it will be dirty, it will be what is needed to affect real change in this country; short of a shooting war.

Pure enough? Are you kidding me?

The man covered up his financial ties to Obama.
He is all in on OCare. He is all in on taxation of miles driven which is just another way for government to stick its nose in your life and you STILL think he’s a libertarian??

While Cuccinelli took on the EPA and won and was the first person to file suit on OCare.

I’ll go with the guy with an actual record fighting to keep our liberties than the guy who is nothing but a spoiler funded by Obama with no actual record.

Then obama gets the votes to pass amnesty or more amnesty and all is lost. In case of aunt Lindsey I would say that would be justfied maybe a few others but rarely use it or you will lose the country for sure..

Of course the man is a libertarian, and the libertarian candidate.

If libertarians are going to get their abortion, porn, drugs, homosexual agenda etc they must support their candidate, or the democrat.

If you are supporting the republican, then do so, why rage at the libertarian?
