Comparing numbers to Romney, looks like Cooch is going to get porked by Sarvis. No idea of turnout but Cooch is running ahead of Romney almost everywhere. But maybe just a couple of points not enough because of Sarvis.
BTW, the rotten bastards known as the GOP could have pushed Cooch over the finish line with some ad buys. I despise those pricks as much as I do the left.
I don’t believe it promotes freedom to suggest someone is at fault simply for running for an office. The voters have their choice and the government has the choice to have some form of run-off voting, so no one can win with under 50% of the vote. It’s dereliction of electoral duty to certify anyone a winner unless they had 50% + 1 of the voters pick them.
Don’t see much use in looking at the 2012 numbers instead of 2009’s.
Cooch had to spend what little money he had in the big districts. He had nothing to spend in the areas that vote Republican.

Fascinating shift: James City County voted for McDonnell over Deeds 66-34 in 2009, but Cuccinelli over McAuliffe only by 51-42. #VaGov”
This election was all about M-O-N-E-Y, and the big pocket government cronies gave McAuliffe plenty.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Cooch was outspent by 3 to 1.
