I was chuckling watching the story. The white news anchors show the video of the white clerk getting knocked over, and cut away to the white reporter, who interviews some white passers by (cheeks clenched hoping they didn’t say anything racist), and everybody just smiled and pretended to not notice any common denominator among the thieves.
Head in the sand. As if pretending they didn’t notice would prevent it from happening again.
Flash mob is a euphemism evoking cute dancers that do a dance routine unexpectedly in a public place. These are simple robberies, committed by criminals. Nothing more, nothing less. Thugs and criminals stealing stuff. Using social media to coordinate a crime does not change the fact it is crime.
