He's sorry? We should believe him now because......

Any apology not followed up by taking responsibility and fixing what you're apologizing for is meaningless.

If he were truly sincere he would have followed up that empty apology by saying he was canceling O'Care in it's entirety. Period. All he'd have to say is that nobody read the bill so nobody knew this was coming; a plausible lie but people would buy it so long as he canceled the whole thing. Excuse my wishful thinking.

An apology is one part contrition of conscience and part acting to ensure there is a thoughtful change of action to remedy.
