Norwood is serving a life sentence for Christine Morton’s murder and was also charged with the 1988 murder of Debra Masters after his DNA was discovered in her home.....

As a part of the deal that will put Anderson behind bars for 10 days, charges of tampering with evidence have been dropped and Anderson has settled his civil suit with the State Bar of Texas, agreeing to be disbarred and pay a $500 fine.

Anderson faced up to 10 years in prison if he had been convicted of tampering with evidence. Anderson accepted the plea deal in the same Williamson County courthouse where he later spent 11 years as a state judge. He resigned in September.....

He’ll do his 10 days, 500 hours and then live the good life off the millions he likely made.

Shouldn't have been withheld, BUT it is inadmissible hearsay.

10 DAYS???????????????????????? FOR SENDING AN INNOCENT MAN TO JAIL FOR 25 YEARS?????????????

AT MINIMUM HE SHOU>D SPEND THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME AS HIS VICTIM

Knowingly sending an innocent man to prison should be a CAPITAL OFFENSE!

Need to end immunity for prosecutors and judges....this move is a start. We need to send away prosecutors and judges that break the law in the course of their duties. It would clean up a lot of nonsense...and save taxpayers a lot of money

Nice trade. A $500 fine and 10 days in the slam for putting an innocent man in jail for 25 years.

I've got to wonder what kind of promotions and pay raises this wrongful conviction got Anderson in the interim.

Ken Anderson and the people who cut the deal of a 10-day sentence are clear reasons why flogging should be legalized again for scum like Anderson and those people.

The idiot should be hanged for sedition. When you overthrow someone’s rights you are effectively overthrowing what is their country to them. That oath in court of “so help me God” should be a warning of your impending death should you lie in court.

10 days in jail is more than enough. If he gets the right cellmate.

Innocence Project involvement...

http://www.statesman.com/news/news/ken-anderson-to-serve-10-days-in-jail/nbmsH/

After the hearing, Innocence Project co-founder Barry Scheck announced that an
independent review will be conducted of all cases prosecuted by Anderson
during his 16 years as district attorney to determine if there were any other
cases with hidden evidence.

The review, in conjunction with current Williamson County District Attorney
Jana Duty, will be conducted by the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association,
the Innocence Project of Texas and Innocence Project of New York, he said.

The Anti-DP and "wrongful conviction" folks have been all over this so they can overstate their claim that everyone on death row is an innocent victim.

What I never understand about these wrongful conviction cases is why the wrong party often confesses to the crime. If I knew I had not done what I was being accused of, there is no way I would sign anything that says I did it.

In a just world he would have to serve out the sentences he deliberately and falsely imposed on others, but 10 days and a $500 fine is a good start.

Love Texas.

This kind of a DA is the poster child for the anti death sentence.

Just saying that if a DA is re elected because of their conviction rate it could cause one to lie.

You cannot change the system to appoint the DA because it becomes a spoils appointment.

I guess carry on with current elected system and send the bad ones to jail.
