Kristallnacht

Posted on 11/09/2013 9:38:02 PM PST by ConorMacNessa

The seventy-fifth anniversary of Kristallnacht has passed without a whimper from our vaunted press.

Where are they now?

Where were they then?

I guess we have to go through this exercise another time as our Fathers did.

I found another one. It is from Spiegel but reposted by ABC. Of course, I have had to look for these articles. I suspect little if anything will be spoken about it on televised news programs.

I’m sorry Yaelle......

We recently visited thr Holocaust Museum in DC......

The crowds of visitors moved from room to room silently and .....with such reverence & shock of reality of what these dear people endured

I’ m so sorry, Yaelle

IIRC, “Kristall” can mean either “glass window” or “shards of broken glass”. No mistaking “pogrom”; it comes from the Russian meaning “by thunder” (Cossack hooves thundering into shtetls within the Pale).

When are people going to realize that if they come for the Jews today, they’ll come for the rest of us tomorrow? It’s in the Koran: “First we come for the Saturday people, then we come for the Sunday people”.

FYI, muzzies do their mosque thingy on Friday.

As soon as I stepped through the door, I was in awe.
...there was such a sense of timelessness....I can't even imagine how you felt or got through it.

Bless you.

As I remember, Goering convinced Hitler and Goebbels
to tone down the destruction because it cost the
German insurance companies millions to replace the
glass store fronts.
