At least you learned. Drivers can’t see you very well, expect you to be extremely careful and watch out for them, and reflexively are not going to avoid you as they would something that endangers them. You ride in all kinds of places that walking would be considered insane, yet you are no better protected than a walker.

Oh, I am now starting to see runners acting like bicyclists. Very clever, not.

I am sure the agenda of the homosexual bicycle lobby is to criminalize the unavoidable accident of hitting one of them.

I believe there was a case of a cyclist in San Francisco - within the past year - who hit an elderly gentleman who was crossing the street; as a consequence, the pedestrian was killed.

The cyclist was completely unapologetic, and was outraged when he was arrested. I don’t know how that one came out. I think the incident occurred in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.
