Tricare is NOT the Mayo clinic. We went, recently, to a local military hospital ER for a hurt foot on a sunday. We can’t go to a civilian facility if there’s a military installation nearby.

“How long do you guys think ‘til, you know, we might see a provider?”

“Oh, six hours, about”.

“Oh...Okay”.

I could write a book. Have had many good experiences.

The military recruit or officer signs up for a number of years and that’s the commitment. It’s not a democratic system. They decide later, they don’t like their boss who has it out for them, they don’t really feel like getting on that transport to go to Afghanistan for a year, there’s no way out but a bad way.

They understand that, with this, they get experience, somewhat of a lower salary compared with a civilian equal, and they have opportunities, but the medical care for themselves and their families is part of the deal. it is a supplement to their low salary.

They would not want to ever take a special dispensation from Obama, it’s just that, his taking away something that is promised to them is a breech. And it is not much.

It is up to congress to get the same dispensation from this disgusting extraconstitutional regulation that is a complete farce.

A few tried, and got shot down.

But I think it’s a mistake to view the military as elite. It’s a matter, I believe, of a breech of contract. BO would take everything away from them if he could. He tried to reduce the VA med coverage his first week in office in 2009, but those laws are upheld much more firmly than those that the congress is allowing to be breeched for everyone else.

And, no one should have any dispensation - but I just would hope the military would get a break from being put in with unions and congress (the no towels in the gym whiners).

We have a Navy base less than 15 miles from us, they closed the hospital almost a decade ago. So all we have are civilian hospitals, and they aren’t much better.

My last ER and hospital stay last month, they BLEW 4 veins because they used TO LARGE IV starters, nearly blew a 5th which the ultra sound guy had to find, and he also used to large a IV set up, vein kept rolling and he was to untrained to stop it, so he kept digging and digging at the vein, finally got it in, and it hurt the entire time it was in my arm, and if I was not going home in 2 days, it would have blown the last usable vein I had.

I have NEVER had more that 1 or 2 issues with an IV start, as they normally use IV set ups for smaller veined people on me. I’d just had two procedures that month that required IV’s and neither one of the nurse’s had an issue because they use the RIGHT size IV starters.

BTW you get MOOCH’s kids meal plan as a bonus, dry, pita bread for a sandwich, food unsuitable for a person in with a colon infection. Tasteless or over spiced, gas producing, to much salt and pepper. Lord put the seasonings on the side, and let the patient who knows how much they can use do the seasoning!

Side effects from the Zoysin, 9 pages of them. When I complained of 1 of them the STUPID ME doc who would only talk with my husband, issued orders for a yeast infection, when it was a bladder requiring Peridum, you could not tell him any thing, you are a “woman lower than camel dung in their culture.”
