I have always thought that. It could happen to me...
I have heard some people say there is a hereditary component to alcohol addiction, and though I don’t know if it is true, I keep it in mind.
I used to get the shakes from FR withdrawal.
I agree completely. It is the Internet, and I sometimes succumb to the impulse to make fun of things like this, but...you are right. She was flawed as we all are, and she paid in blood. She wasn’t as lucky as many of us have been.
That's a tough call, my dad said that his dad was an alcoholic and his uncle died drunk in a snow bank.
Personally, I think any addiction is a direct result of an individual's lifestyle choices and an inability to cope with them so their substance of choice becomes their crutch.
As far as pain killers and anyone who is addicted to them for pain management, I can't condemn them since I've been in their shoes but to a much lesser degree. My addiction was OTC drugs such as Ibuprofin which over time has hurt my stomach. No big deal really......
