Yes, drug addiction doesn’t discriminate.
I think it can happen easily.
I occasionally take Ambien to sleep. But I am very careful not to take it all the time, maybe once a week.
But as someone who values deep sleep highly, the urge is sometimes there to take it every night. If I didn’t know better, I could find myself hooked on that, and that is just for sleep.
I can imagine if you were someone in constant pain, it would be a very easy thing to get addicted to painkillers.
