The owner of the Washington Bullets NBA team changed the name, because of not wanting to be associated with gun violence.

This politically correct society is crazy. Years ago, nobody thought anything of the nickname Bullets. Now we are saying we don’t want to glorify gun violence and all that. Same issue with American Indian nicknames, allegedly being offensive.

When will the PETA types weigh in on all of the animal sports nickames? If American Indian nicknames are offensive to American Indians, then aren’t animal nicknames offensive to animals?

In the mid 90’s they dropped a few letters and Bullets became Bulls.

They have essentially ripped-off the logo of the Houston Texans for their football helmets.
