This is the sterotypical response of a sociopath caught in his web of lies. It is generally followed by another untrustworthy statement as if the audience accepts the premise of regaining trust.

It's the blindness of a pathologically arrogant narcissist. Since he's the only person on earth who really matters, he's never bothered to note that others are real people who have feelings, thoughts, likes/dislikes, self-determinism, goals/dreams, etc.

It's not real to him that others have as much or more intelligence than he has, or that they're capable of having insights or understanding at a level that exceeds his own. In his mind, other people are merely warm bodies who require someone like him to shepherd them through life. They're really too stupid to direct their own lives without the guidance of him and his fellow social engineers.

Such a warped personality has to be stunned when the little people react with real anger to his multiple lies. Who knew they had the intelligence to figure that out???

...Obama on Thursday said he would need to “win back” the trust of the American public ...

Guess the DNC will have to assist with creating a new pack of lies... do a better job of focus testing 'em...

It's sort of different, but if you think this is going to magically disappear, that the democrat/media complex is going to allow Bambi to fail, I think you're being naive.

It might be the first time he hasn't gotten entirely positive publicity in the press, but they're still circling the wagons for him.

It might be that some of their voters are finding this is not such a good change as they lose their coverage, or pay a lot more, but it's not changing their minds of who to vote for........ after all, it's not his fault and he's really trying to do the right thing for them.

What we are looking at is NOT yet the end of the democrat/media complex, it's so far just a major burp. He's still going to be president, he's still going to dictate everything he can to destroy us for the next three years, nothing has changed that one bit, nothing has altered the ground, he's driving us into chaos and that only helps his Alinsky method of governance.

I love the schadenfreude of this disaster, but hate what it's going to take to overcome it now. Once again, he's not just going to magically disappear.

Get the media fired up about the Republican War on Women or some other distraction.

It’s about time for him to go after the banks or the oil companies again.

I think you're letting your fear of Obama and your resultant pessimism cloud your thinking on this. I'm not going to be overly optimistic by predicting the complete collapse of the Democrat party and the total rejection of liberalism by America, but I'll continue to posit that they've done inestimable damage to their party and their agenda with this act.

As I said before, the ill effects of Obamacare are only just beginning to surface. Right now, it's just people seeing their health care costs jump significantly, while others are suddenly caught without coverage of any kind.

Soon enough, that will translate into actual human suffering, and even death. A lot of those suffering will be supportive Democrat voters. You've already begun to see comments from upset liberals in the press. That's only going to increase, as the pain reaches into every American household.

There are probably millions of liberals who are privately shocked and disillusioned by the fact that their President lied to them about Obamacare. People who work every day, pay their own way, and who've just had their health insurance cancelled. Many of them don't have a nationwide soap box like the fawning liberal presstitutes who are too scared to even think about falling out of lock step agreement with the regime. You don't hear from these people, but they're out there.

Do you really think their allegiance to Democrat politicians supersedes their allegiance to their own families? Do you really believe they'll keep shouting, "Yes we can!" while their family members suffer and die?

There's going to be a backlash, Lake. It may only take out Democrats whose fingerprints are on this crime, but a price will be paid for what they've done.

It's not fear, it's knowledge of who this guy and what his party wants to do. No matter what happens here they will continue to press forward with their agenda of making us a socialist paradise. If you think they are not going to circle the wagons and lie through their teeth and be protected by the media for doing so, Ill repeat again, you're being very naive.

They will figure out how to blame this on conservatives, on the GOP, it's what they do. Their voters WILL believe it, their voters WILL NOT punish them for being so stupid, they'll buy the lies. I think you're wrong, I believe their voters have conditioned themselves to hate conservatives so much, they will always believe in the lies more than they will believe their own eyes.

I love the melt down, the schadenfreude is wonderful, but it's not going to change the uninformed vote one bit. The democrat/hollywood/educational/media will make sure of that and until we take that group out it's not going to change.

Lake, you're sitting in the middle of a fixed opinion that doesn't admit the reality of human nature. People will stop buying the lies and promises of politicians who are directly responsible for visiting real pain and misery upon them and their families.

Perhaps the most zombiefied Obots will remain too hypnotized to see who killed Grandma, but I assure you that most Democrat voters will not. They're already keenly aware that Obamacare is 100% a creation of the Democrats and Obama, and that the Republicans all voted against it.

When their family members begin going without vital medical treatment, or begin dying from lack of (or substandard) medical care because they can't afford Obama's 'new and improved' insurance, you're going to see liberals hurling everything but the kitchen sink at their elected reps. The French Revolution may look mild in comparison to the immense anger that is going to be leveled at the Democrats responsible for this -- including His Heinous.

The only way that piece of filth is getting my trust is by resigning and standing trial for war crimes at The Hague.

(No, I don’t believe in the UN, but I just really dig how that sentence sounds.)

I'd trust him to take every last drag off a cigarette while standing blindfolded in front of a concrete wall.

That's as far as my trust in that man goes.

I think you're misunderstanding some things I'm saying. I'm NOT entirely disagreeing with you. just don't buy the idea this is going to be some kind of easy fix, or that the man and his evil minions' negative influence won't continue. Here is a list for you to argue against if you care to:

1. Just because things are going badly for the liar in chief doesn't mean he's not going to continue to ruin things and make it harder for us to change his mistakes. He's in for three more years, and the progressive democrat/media/hollywood/education complex is going to be helping him repair his image all the way and help him do as much fundamental damage to our way of life as is possible.
2. Just because the media actually reported a few genuine problems this lying bunch has caused doesn't mean it's not going to continue circling the wagons and protecting them.
3. Just because some democrats are personally experiencing the negative effects of this law doesn't mean they are suddenly going to be voting against their party. Stupid is an affliction of the left, an almost irreparable one.
4. Even if this is THE turning point where enough Americans begin to see through the lies of the totalitarian left (and it might be), this will not be a magical or easy fix that brings Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, or any conservative to an easy victory where America suddenly reverts to the tried and true principles of conservatism and regenerates itself.

Regarding your four points. I don’t totally disagree with you. I just think you’re seeing the glass half empty, which is merely a function of perception.

While I don’t think that a magical transformation in U.S. politics is underway, I do believe that the unfolding crisis with Obamacare, and the broad public’s reaction to Obama, et al, foisting such misery on the American people, will have long lasting and serious negative effects on that party.

I also believe that those effects are beginning to affect the Dems even now. It will only get worse and worse for them as the months (and the mounting carnage and destruction) rolls along.

We'll see, I'm not convinced we're there yet, but we're closer than we've been for a long time.

Fwiw, when you suggest it's my "perception" you may be guilty of believing there is no such thing as reality or truth. The ground could shift, the reality of the situation could change, but this is not the America of the early 1980's, the fight to regain that position will be much harder than it was then.

Fwiw, when you suggest it's my "perception" you may be guilty of believing there is no such thing as reality or truth.

I see reality and truth as well as the next beleaguered patriot. My suggestion was that you and I are looking at the same developments, and seeing them from different perspectives (as people are wont to do). Doesn't make you wrong and me right. We're just looking from different angles.

Here's how things look from my perspective.

I scan down the thread titles on the main page and read a bit of each excerpt. Obamacare is without a doubt, the most talked about subject right now, so it's pretty easy to get a read on the overall tone of public discussion about it.

In doing so, what stands out, is that Zero and his party have put something into motion that is causing egregious harm to the American people. It's also clear that the drumbeat of angry denunciations is growing louder and louder. With the exception of a few, they're all being directed toward the correct source -- those responsible for enacting this abomination.

And those responsible are feeling the heat. Just look at all the ways they reacted in the last week.

Digging deeper into the seemingly endless series of articles on Obamacare, it's apparent that we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg with the current insurance cancellations. Group employee plans are the next round of cancellations. That's where the truly staggering numbers of fallout are going to come from.

When that occurs, all hell is going to break loose in this country. Joe Lunchbox is going to want to kill someone when his health insurance goes through the roof. Do you really think he's going to blame Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz for his predicament - or will he have sufficient intelligence to realize that it's not called 'Obamacare' because the Republicans passed it into law?

The point I've been trying to make here is that even mindlessly faithful Democrats have a breaking point. If you put them and their families in harm's way, or force them into poverty through the force of law, they're going to be as pissed as any of us are.

Now where are they going to direct that anger? Obama himself was the ACA's chief salesman for years. It's no secret that it's his baby, and Pelosi and Reid delivered it. You're going to tell me that Dem voters never heard him talk about how wonderful Obamacare would be? Do you really believe they're too stupid to see that the Democrats wrote the recipe, baked the pie, and shoved this thing down their throats?

All I'm trying to say is that there will be a backlash from the left, and it's going to cost a lot of elected Dems their jobs. I'm not optimistic enough to believe that these pissed off Dem voters will cross over to our side. What they will do, is replace a lot of politicians who voted for this evil, with people who promise to rip it out by the roots.

I saw a pretty funny cartoon today (old one). It sort of went like this:

First panel: One kid tells another, "Bambi and the left are going to help the muslims take over America"

Second panel: The other kid says, "True, but look on the bright side". First kid, "What bright side?"

Third panel: "When the muslims do take over, first thing they're gonna do is killl all the liberals........"
