While I thought some of that was ill-conceived I do think any American president has to be considered a fair target for any expression of opposition short of threats of physical violence.
I also have no recollection of anyone connected with the Bush administration implying that First Amendment rights should be limited when it comes to criticizing the president.

People had movies of Bush getting assassinated and you didn't have Oprah coming out all offended about that or any other President before she decided to activate on the first part-black President.
To me it is obvious that Oprah went for Obama because of race based on her lack of EVER getting involved before for a candidate. Is Oprah a racist for only coming out for the first black guy? Does she have to think the only reason people have bad opinions of the President's actions and jobs has to be race?
Why can't we make out own independent conclusions of what this President is doing and their effects on the people and the world?
Why should Obama become the first President you can't be critical of?
