They're blaming low viewership on everything else but that Americans don't care for their shiite.

Hmmmm. I wonder if Al Gorzeera might work instead? You know, use some SYNERGY! Doesn’t SYNERGY always help?

The few times I looked at al Jazeera...it was not as extreme as MSNBC. It has a few folks from CNN (CNNs former financial news guy, Canadian Ali Velshi, is on there). Al Jazeera is more like BBC America.

We have had Al Jazeera in the US for a few years now before they bought Al Gore TV...Al Jazeera owns BeIn Sport Network...and Al Jazeera Sports broadcasts are all over internet

Al Jazeera owns BeIn Sport Network...

And coming up at 1500H, the Finals of the World Beheading Championships, sponsored by Wilkinson Sword. Live from Prince Ali Bin Doinblondes Stadium in Riyadh.

When FoxNews starts talking about irrelevant crap like celebrities or cooking or McCain or fashion I find myself switching to al Jazeera now.

It's less offensive than MSNBC, CNN, et al.

I kinda like “30 minute IED” and “good sheets”. The special on the burka fashion show was a bit boring, not enough ankle.

To my experience, Fox doesn’t have a news organization. Not a news gathering organization. They are last every time to anything breaking going on, which is why EVERYTHING results in a Fox News Alert.

It really is horrible trying to get actual news these days.

How do we know it is not already getting public funding?

The most transparent administration. Ever.

I agree with you. They have much better footage of the Middle East conflicts.

My thought exactly.

My liberal, to the left of Stalin, sister-in-law and her husband only listened to Al Jazeera way before they got this station. They told me that was the only news organization that told the truth.

He is a ham operator and I bought a short wave receiver so the next time he was here I gave it to him to set-up - to program in stations that would be the clearest for me to hear, that sort of thing. What he actually did and told me, was, he set it on Al Jazeera.

When I heard later that Al Jazeera now had a channel, I thought the two of them must be celebrating with an adult beverage over this marvelous thing that had come about. They haven't been to see me since Al Jazeera got that channel so I'm sure I'll hear about it when they visit Christmas.

If the SHTF and I have to use that shortwave receiver to get information, I'll read the damn book on it and remove the setting on Al Jazeera as my first act on that radio.
Sh—, Al Jazeera.

Ping to my 77.

I wish you were here to deal with this shortwave receiver. It is a super fine one according to the husband but I researched those radios before I bought so I know it is top of the line. He is the communications expert who volunteered his services to go to the main hospital where he lives to handle their communication if a hurricane comes into that city on the Texas gulf coast. The hospital depends on him when they have a hurricane coming in.

This radio has at least a million buttons to push and I really don’t want to become an expert in that - I just want to be able to find stations and listen.

Should be a way to clear memory or reset it to factory presets, if you look in the manual. Otherwise, you can use a sledgehammer, and clear it that way. ;)

“Otherwise, you can use a sledgehammer, and clear it that way. ;)”

That’s why I wanted you here to deal with it - it cost too much to hammer it to death. I’ve had to learn how solar panels work and chargers and all types of rechargeable batteries and how to put a diverter into a downspout using metal cutters and you name it, I’ve had to learn it. Where in the hell is a nice man who knows this stuff?
