WASHINGTON, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Knife Owners' Protection Act, H.R.3478, has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05). H.R.3478 would protect the right of knife owners to travel throughout the U.S. without fear of prosecution under the myriad patchwork of state and local knife laws.

I have a Buck just like that. I also have a Schrade which is a twin except for the name.
Knife regulations??? Someone please tell me this is a joke.
Finally. It’s about time we repealed the frankly ridiculous laws against various types of knives. Trench knives, switchblades, and butterfly knifes should be legal to carry. In addition, can brass knuckles be attached?
The knife laws in some states are truly bad. Minnesota’s is so vague, nobody knows if you’re even allowed kitchen knives.
Exactly. Right to bear arms covers blades.
I can only imagine a mugger’s face with one of those jabbing towards his eye.
I am apprehensive about this, if for no other reason than by establishing it under federal law might make it possible to be turned on its head in federal law someday.
It’s a jurisdictional thing. Right now, congress has authorized Customs and Border Patrol to involve itself with knife rights deep within US territory. I don’t like ‘em, and I don’t trust ‘em.
Be suspicious when the want to “federalize” state laws.
Wouldn’t the spikes interfere with the skinning hook?
I’ll get back to you if I ever feel the need to skin someone :p
I’ll tell you though, getting punched in the face with that thing would ruin anyone’s day.
How long is too long? 2 1/2 inches?
And about as useful as FOPA, which means not useful at all when the idjits in NY or NJ or CA decide to hassle you.
The idea behind the spikes is to keep someone from grabbing your hand. The blade is the deadly part of a knife.
The thing is long enough to actually go all the way through a relatively thin person. It’s more of a show weapon than anything else, until I can custom make some sort of sheath for it. Full tang is great for durability, but not good for easy carry.
Only $100 :D
1/8” is too long. ALL knives are banned.
...this is a knoif!
My friend is a knife collector and has one of those. I think it has 141 tools.
It comes with a certificate from Guinness book of world records
When he brings his knife collection to scouts, that Swiss Army “knife” is the grand finale
I never realized they actually sold that, I thought it was just a put on.
Our scout (soon to be Trail Life) troop has an annual knife exchange at Christmas.
