You’re wrong. There’s no reason to kill to eat. There’s plenty of food that’s cheaper and easier to get. The only reason to hunt is for the man’s triumph over nature aspect. The meat is a bonus. Killing a lion is awesome (so I guess, I’ve only killed a dear, and that was with my minivan). She should be pleased with herself.
