You don’t kill a lion for food, you hunt it because it takes skill and if you screw up can get you killed. I’m not a trophy hunter but did kill a deer with a 44 mag open sighted revolver at 125 yards. I kept the horns and ate the meat.

Who cares, they are just animals and someone will eat them.
