I like both personally, but the .357 is easier to fire and has more stopping power then the .44.
To each his own. What matters in the end is what you’re comfortable and confident with.
The 44 Special I am familiar with is loaded to the exact specifications of Elmer Keith. The bullets will penetrate a telephone pole, the 357 Mag is just a little more powder than the 38. Big waste of powder.
