She did this same thing when her film “the butler” was being introduced in the US - remember her little story about the lady in the boutique telling her a purse was too expensive for her? In reality, the clerk had offered to get her another purse, that wasn’t as expensive but she might like it all the same, and also offered to get the purse from the original price from the shelf for oprah. The clerk actually came forward. At the end of each US article was the statement oprah’s film was opening around the US at that time. Until then, I had no idea she had a movie opening.

This time, she was in England, promoting the opening of “the butler” in London and elsewhere. And she got her intended publicity.

The really ugly thing about this is not just the content of the statements, both times, but the fact she played the race card to get play for her opening movie. That aspect of the motive makes it really despicable.
