You should have been there months ago when we were interviewing for an international marketing position. Even the Ivy League dimwits couldn’t even know the difference between “lose” and “loose”.

Even the Ivy League dimwits couldnt even know the difference between lose and loose.I think we're seeing evolution of the language. "Lose" becomes "Loose" in about two thirds of the usage I see.
Don't know what "Loose" evolves to; it probably won't be "Looose".
Perhaps "untight" will take the place of loose.

Even the Ivy League dimwits couldnt even know the difference between lose and loose. That would also be true of a huge number of Freepers. I see it all the time.

("It's" is the contraction of "it" and "is"; think about ITS implications.)
