Sometime, when you're having a discussion with a liberal, try this: when they talk about the need for some new government program, or more money for an existing program or "service," just calmly say, "We're trillions in debt. There is no money." When they continue on their ramblings, say it again. My experience is they just look at you, blink, and carry on. And this has happened with a few libs I know. It's like their mind cannot process there being no money left for more government. They literally cannot even imagine it.
Just raise taxes on the rich. I know a guy that advocates that position; he’s the great grandson of Friedrich Ebert.
