Respectfully, brain and blood spatter patterns are well-defined in forensics. Horrific as it is, the compression of brain matter by the impact of an FMJ round, would spray matter (and micronize the water based particles into a mist) in all directions- to the rear as well as upwards and forwards in the trajectory.
John Connally himself says

I’ve read other remarks where Connally says he saw all manner of Kennedy’s brains and Connally was in the front seat.
Nevertheless, Connally doesn’t buy the official story as well.
