Myu understanding is it is illegal to concealed carry in Texas unless you have a permit.
Shall Issue state for permits.
There was also a 3 county rule, you were permitted to carry a pistol in your car for self defense without a permit, if you were on the way to a pistol range, or intending to travel three counties. (your own, through a second, and with a destination in a third)
