Six 'Knockout' Attacks in New Haven, Connecticut
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | November 24, 2013 | Dr. Susan Berry

Six “knockout” style attacks took place in New Haven, Connecticut over two days this past week, according to local police.

The New Haven Independent reported that a group of young men approached five males and a 68 year-old woman at different times on Monday and Tuesday evenings. In all cases, one of the young men in the group faced off with the victim, punched him or her in the face or head, then ran off with the rest of the group, laughing.

One of the victims was medical researcher Lawrence Hsieh, a young man who spoke with the Independent.

Hsieh, who is schooled in Taekwondo, said he did not have time to defend himself when he was walking in New Haven and three young men in hoodies approached him. One in the group, Hsieh said, punched him in the nose, knocking him to the ground, then ran off, laughing with his friends.

“The whole ordeal was over in 30 seconds,” Hsieh said, whose nose is swollen and may be broken as a result. “I’ve never experienced face-to-face violence, where you see the person you are going to violate or who violates you up close,” he added....

You know, I don’t really care what they call me.
I’m not letting any group of “teens” get too close to me or my family.

So if a group of black men approach me I should shoot first? Is that what they’re looking for another Travon Martin case?

It's not a practical answer but it's an answer. There's a race war already going on and as much of us advocate, be prepared.

Nothing wrong with having a good defensive stratergy but no one wins a war by playing defense all the time.

There is a local guy here who married a girl in the Philippines while in the military. They have been married for many years, raised a bunch of kids. He is always talking about moving back to the Philippines to live; claims its so much cheaper, better quality of life. I wonder?

Ya know, we have the extreme cold for a few months, but I always have all the guns & ammo my family will ever require; feel quite safe & secure. I have a few Rock Island 1911's myself, good guns. Does everybody have guns in the Philippines, is there much hunting there? What is the quality of life like? Crime? Are the Muslim's a big problem?

I have Indians all around me where I call home, they are OK; not really criminal in nature. I'll take Indians over African Americans hands down, no joke.

We live in rural Alaska, no blks within 200 miles of my community; but I had a nephew, about a year back, jumped by 5-6 blks. Suffered a double skull fracture walking out of an eatery in Cambridge, Mass; touristy section I hear. Nephew was a weight lifter and very athletic guy and an accountant, not some dummy. He said he didn't even see them coming, happened pretty quick.

If one doesn't maintain CONTINUOUS situational awareness on the street, then it doesn't matter if you're armed, or trained in martial arts like Mr Hsieh in the article. In these days, if you're on the streets, you have to stay in "Condition Yellow" (relaxed awareness of your surroundings) all the time. Given recent events, any young black man, or group of such, who approach you should elevate your alertness to "Condition Orange" (awareness of a potential threat), you should actively avoid allowing such within 6 feet of you, and you should treat any attempt to overcome your avoidance as a prelude to attack.

I do wish we were all born with eyes in the back of our heads too, but until we evolve, we'll have to do the best we can with what God gave us I guess. Whenever I'm in Fairbanks or Anchorage, I'm armed on my person and have a short AR between the seat; for road hunting of course on my way to town.

I was shot at once 30 years back down south by a car load of blks when I wouldn't give them my money. Seeing those orange flashes and hearing them bullets wizzin by really got my anger up; but I didn't have a gun on me that day and never forgot that guy hanging out the window shooting at me. Sad thing is it will probably never happen again in my life no matter how badly I wish it would so to have an alternate outcome.

I just choose to not live around any African Americans and I temper that thought by having met quite a few I wouldn't mind having for neighbors and I have; they were high class people.

I've had to pull out the 44 & 460 and shoot bear up close several times throughout my life and it was pretty quick. A few of my friends have bought or built those AR pistols. I can see it now, before long people will be openly carrying those guns for protection against the young blk kids bent on knocking Whites out, making them bleed. Something ain't right with this picture in society? I guess we better start building more prisons to house all these urban up and comers.

I'll have to remember that, young blk kids, condition yellow; if I ever see one that is, ha ha.

I'll have to remember that, young blk kids, condition yellow;

Nope. It goes:

Out in public: condition yellow (relaxed awareness; you are aware of who's around you, both front and to your rear). You're out on the streets, you're always in yellow.

Notice somebody who might be a threat: condition ORANGE. You mentally prepare yourself: "If that person does 'X', then I will draw on him".

That somebody makes a move; you are under assault: Condition Red.

Another writeup here.

I understand what you are saying, but this isn’t realistic. People don’t go about their daily business in a constant state of alert. I’m sure they should, but it’s not going to happen. The only realistic solution I see is to avoid blacks, and if they want their own little all-black world, fine. Give them a few states and they can have their white-free utopia. I’m sick of this.

A member of our family is in law enforcement (plain clothes) and that’s what he does - looks straight at them with a don’t-mess-with-me look. Also, he says any law-abiding citizen who goes out unarmed these days is crazy.

The problem is they sneak up from behind or, like the incident in OK, they drive up behind someone and shoot from a vehicle.

It’s hard to think of a way to defend oneself from this kind of surprise attack unless you spend all your time with your back against a wall.

” Does everybody have guns in the Philippines, is there much hunting there? What is the quality of life like? Crime? Are the Muslim’s a big problem?”
____________________________________________________________
Just woke up here, 6 AM....I do not know anyone that has a gun and have never seen one here. You can not have one here.
I find it strange, reading FR, that everyone talks about their guns. Is it really that bad there? When I lived in the country, east of Memphis, I had a 22, but only for snakes or other vermin. No one that I knew had guns for safety purposes, even though we had a heavy black population. Here in the Philippines, there may be one or two blacks in my region, but I have never seen one here. My neighbor thinks that he saw one near the market one day.
If there are any here, they certainly are not hoodies.

As for Muslims, I have never knowingly seen one in my five years here.
They have an autonomous region on the far west side of Mindanao, far from us.

The quality of life is very nice and relaxed. The cost of living is very low. For the three of us to use more then $1000 per month would be extravagant. We do not have, or need a car. The town market is a short bicycle ride from our beach cottage. Going there once per day is one of my favorite pleasures, visiting a number of vendors who all know me and my family.
My wife and child travel by pedicabs, called C-cads.
They are plentiful and easy to catch. We have one driver that also doubles as our errand boy. When I need him, I just send a text and he comes.
We have plenty of expat friends. One from PA is married to my landlady, and one from Cape Cod lives just down the street. We gather in our little seaside shade garden every afternoon at 4 PM to have a few beers.
If you want more info, feel free to private msg me. I am in touch with a number of FReepers who are interested in expating. I was last in the USSA in 2004. I first moved to Slovakia, and had a very nice life there.
The Philippines are prime for single men. I never see western couples or families, but they may be in other regions of the 7,107 islands that make up the Philippines.

For other expat options, check out www. InternationalLiving.com and www.EscapeFromAmerica.com
They concentrate on Central and South America, more suited for families. Get on their free mailing list.
