“Through CDs, they can now enjoy the music without having to watch the antics and rituals of classical concerts.”
I’m curious; what “antics and rituals”?
I call it navigating to the seats that are too small in an auditorium full of liberal art and culture nuts.
Sitting through classical music concerts is torture only behind baseball games.
Anything that isn't music. The fancy dress, the whole "being there to be seen" crowd and the rest of their...antics and rituals.
The "tune up" cacophony at the beginning. The now-too-often 5 minute standing ovations that are 99% of the time not deserved.
Don't get me wrong, I love the occasional classical concert.
Through CDs, they can now enjoy the music without having to watch the antics and rituals of classical concerts.
Im curious; what antics and rituals?

I believe that he is referring to twerking...
I think he’s making a snide comment about conductors...leading to old question about the need for them at the concerts.
I thought he was being sarcastic.
Yeah, much as I thought I liked him,
this guy is trying my patience!
