Well said...The Holidays keep starting sooner and sooner because of commercialization and that’s not what they’re about.
When people say “Merry Christmas” this time of year, I always want to reply, “Happy Birthday!” (After all, there’s a 1/365 chance it’s accurate ;-). Or, “OMG, it’s Christmas!?! When I started drinking, it was Halloween!”
But I don’t, because they’re either genuinely being nice or just doing their jobs.
