Politico ^ | November 26, 2013 | ANNA PALMER

The Republican civil war erupted into full view this fall, and the establishment looked like it was about to shove the movement back in line.

But the early skirmishes ended with the tea party no weaker than it was.

The GOP-e is finding out how tough, resilient, and even nebulous the TEA Party movement really is. It's arrogance is going to be its downfall.

That wasn't supposed to happen!

And is that fight working out for the GOPe?

Eventually the big boys are going to figure out that money doesn't equal votes if the voter hates your guts.

What if Politico declared a war and nobody came?

Perhaps the activity is just ordinary politics. Politics like America has had since day -100

They mistake a fabricated news event for a war

What the Tea Party movement needs is an exceptional national representative/leader that can get air time and the word out on exactly what the Tea Party movement is, not what the LSM says it is and be able to counter any and all negative comments as soon as they hit. Take the offensive.

Yep. I was just thinking that the other day. This war needs a leader or set of leaders who can cooperate without rivalry developing for the White House. Like Reagan in the 70s, this movement needs a real face and one that can execute and win over dissatisfied voters.

They better start realizing that the Tea Party is here to stay.

They can join us or lose their seats.

As long as the GOP-e controls the purse, the TP will struggle...

what the gop-e has to learn is that WE THE PEOPLE are the republican party and they are merely our servants. And for the last couple decades they have been incredibly poor servants.

When the steward thinks he runs the house, that is the time for the house owner (us) to send that steward packing.

There's nothing "fabricated" about McConnell's open attacks on the TP. He's being primaried, and has been quite loudmouthed about his hatred for conservatives. He's been sounding a lot like John McQueeg lately, spewing his worst venom at us instead of at Democrats.

The RINOs are over. They're still posting here that it's the conservatives fault, for not voting for McCain and then Romney. They're still trying to pimp the next nomination as a choice between JebBush and Christie. They say they "want the hispanic vote" yet work so hard to discredit Cruz.

There's now no doubt about it, especially after the Cucinelli situation in VA. They'd rather lose an election to dems than to lose power to conservatives.

I would never vote for a backstabbing traitor, as the RINOs have shown the whole world that they are. I'd probably just stay home, but if the RINOs get vile enough I'd vote for the dem who's honest about their despicable intentions instead.

Ask Mitch how weak the Tea Party is after the next election.

Absolutely not. The Tea Party is a way of life and has no big name targets. It is good just like it is. The Primaries are the RINO’s Achilles heel and where the Tea Party can do the most damage to the establishment.

Gack. Reading the comments section in this original article reveals the usual windup doll liberal cliches; tea baggers, wing nuts, Koch brothers, etc. etc. Democrats have built a permanent majority built on handouts, blind faith in government, and hatred/envy of a minority; the rich, Tea Party, Jews (they mask that hatred is veiled as pro-Palestinian... but it is there).

What happens when the focus of their anger is snuffed out and they finally achieve complete control? I think we’re beginning to see. They can’t build a website, but these Masters of the Universe think they are ordained to run everyones lives.

There aren’t enough millionaires to win elections, which the GOP-e will learn again, if they don’t shut their pie-holes and pray that the conservatives will show up at the polls.

If Romney had received the same number of votes as McCain, he would have won the 2012 election, They should have asked themselves what happened to those millions of votes, instead of immediately crying about Latino and Black votes that they will never get because they don’t offer free stuff.

Defund the RNC and Karl Rove!

Lack of a figurehead is one of the strengths and weaknesses of the TP’ers. It is a weakness in that there is no one person or group to articulate policy in the 24/7 news cycle. In the same fashion there is no one person or group for the MSM or enemy (but I repeat myself) to vilify and degrade in the minds of the American people where hopefully policy is eventually made. You takes the good with the bad.

What about our crumbling infrastructure? PA just passed a transportation bill after a hard fight. Corbett signed it yesterday...

There was a discussion on railroad.net...

Be careful what you wish for, TP. You might get it. /:/
