Professor: Obama Should Be Allowed to Run for a Third Term

In The Washington Post, Jonathan Zimmerman, a history professor from NYU, has written an article claiming that all of America’s problems would be soloved–GET THIS–if only we would allow Barack Obama to run for a third term!

He wants to amend the Constitution and abolish presidential term limits.

Zimmerman writes that Obama–whose approval rating is at an all time low of 37%–would be much more effective at governing if he could stand for re-election in 2016 because then he’d be less likely to “ignore” the will of the American people. “It’s time to put that power back where it belongs,” he writes. “Barack Obama should be allowed to stand for re election just as citizens should be allowed to vote for — or against — him. Anything less diminishes our leaders and ourselves.”

We don’t know whether to shake our head in disbelief, or burst out laughing.

This professor admits that only a third of Americans approve of the job Obama is doing in office, yet he wants us to believe that we’d be better off if he were able to be president until the year 2020–and beyond?

That’s some strange logic.

Just one week ago, the very same newspaper ran a story predicting that if the 2012 election were held now, Mitt Romney would win the White House, not Obama.

Right now, this country has a serious case of voter’s remorse. Therefore the timing for this call for a potential third Obama term couldn’t be worse.

If we were going to go to the trouble of amending the Constitution, I think more Americans would be interested in adding the power to recall this president than would be interested in giving him a third term.

He is a CLASSIC 60's lib, complete with the Peace Corps stint. I'll bet he was in on black freedom marches and protests, too. I'd laugh like heck if he becomes a knockout game victim.

This leftist nutjob sounds like a shoe-in for DiBlasio's new inner circle.

It's frightening to think that he in a position to influence young minds.

A third term would allow him just enough time to screw things up royally!

If you need to see him for a third term just be honest and say that is what you want. If you need a third term to be sure he is screwing up you may want to get out your 3rd and 4th grade history books and your elementary civics books.

Then Bush would get a chance at a third and forth term.

So would Clinton.

Unfortunately--with few exceptions--our schools of education and journalism are filled with these types. One of the reasons the leftist viewpoint is considered 'normal' in our culture.

And, the entertainment media round out the commie assault.

A proposed amendment becomes part of the Constitution as soon as it is ratified by three-fourths of the States (43 of the 57 States).;-)

“THIS IS WHAT PASSES FOR PROFESSORSHIP AT NYU???!?”

And a lot of other places. Don’t ever make the mistake of thinking that just because one is an academic, one is smart. Can happen. Often doesn’t.

And MY being a conservative has caused me no end of harassment from administration in the NYC public school system. They want teachers who will pass students who have 40s averages, teachers who bend over backwards to give students who don’t show up to class “special projects” so they can pass, they have little to no consequences for students who threaten or assault teachers, and they are always ready to accept statements from students accusing their teacher of stuff they never did or said as retribution for their teacher expecting them to actually behave in class and submit work.

This is about the tenth person I’ve heard of this month pushing for Obama getting a 3rd term. If it was just one or two a year, I’d ignore it. There’s always somebody saying that when a D is in office. But this is becoming more and more frequent, as if somebody was laying the groundwork for something . . .

We hear this every election cycle. Boring........

Close, we only hear this idea when it's dem thug's second term. I don't recall hearing anything from this Prof or anyone else suggesting this when Bush's second term was almost up.

80 million people have lost their health insurance. If even 1/10th of those people die as a result of that it would be more than the amount of Jews killed by the Nazis - in essence an American Holocaust. That should give a good idea how absolutely incredibly freakin’ insane this Professor is.

It dawned on me a few days ago, why waste time running? There is no doubt OBama sees himself as the God like figure the media has made him out to be. Why should he even have to bother running for a third term? Just declare himself president in 2016. And what’s more, who will stop him? Democrats love watching him ignore the constitution and the republican leadership lets it happen. Maybe Putin can ride to the USA rescue again.

I had Thanksgiving Dinner with some European friend’s, they told me the US, and Obama especially, is hated more than Bush ever was. Obama is an embarassment.

Come January 20, 2017—he is out by noon, or the people go in and bring him out.

That includes the Wookie, the kids and the mother-in-law.

Valerie Jarrett.

And especially Reggie Love.

Then we call Serv-Pro, and they will fumigate and clean the place.

Like it never even happened.
