Last year, the city of Camden decided to can its unionized police force in favor of ununionized county cops who hit the streets this April.
...
The city has been run exclusively by Democrats for several generations, and some local leaders openly worried that Camden, which already had the highest crime rate per capita last year, would get worse. But it hasnt. In fact, crimes gone down

unionized vs. non-unionized.
Who would have imagined one working better than the other?
Bet a another reason crime rate dropped is a large percent of the Camden police force were on the take.... So the “criminal element” had free reign to drive up the crime rate....
There is a new sheriff in town.... Literally....
Good point.
There is a new sheriff in town.... Literally....
New sheriff boys, drink up.
Wow..a third of your police force takes off everyday, no wonder crime rate was off the charts...

Kinda like some others we have to deal with in Washington.
I always liked what John Carlson, a radio personality and gubernatorial candidate a few years ago in Washington state, had to say about unions. (Paraphrasing) Carlson: When I was young, I thought the unions were an arm of the Democrat party. Now I know that the Democrat party is an arm of the unions. That insight is pure genius.
It would be great if this story would repeat itself more and more in years to come. I love that you can’t fire or get rid of a union employee, no matter what onerous thing they do. But, you can get rid of the whole department/system! Great idea!
Is that why they had to pay bonuses to the ones who did show up to work?
