Bloomberg a no-show at derailment tragedy

Where’s Bloomy?

While Gov. Cuomo, NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly and FDNY commissioner Sal Cassano rushed to the deadly Metro-North crash in the Bronx, lame duck Mayor Bloomberg was nowhere to be found.

It took five hours for Bloomberg’s office to tweet: “Thoughts and prayers with those impacted by today’s train derailment. If you are looking for a loved one who was onboard, call 311.”

It’s not known where Bloomberg was on Sunday morning, and City Hall staffers declined to reveal their boss’ whereabouts.

Cuomo is an arrogant, poorly spoken, fascist pig dictator. He is as despicable as his father was and has done even more damage to my state that daddy could ever do.

He is inept at public speaking, and his marriage to what’s her name Kennedy was a sham. He is solely responsible for the housing meltdown when he was at the helm of HUD. He had done crap for the middle class New Yorker. New York ranks 50 out of 50 in terms of being business friendly. He goes around toting what a good catholic he is and yet he shoved same-sex marriage down my throat. He has done nothing to rein in spending or offer tax relief to the highest tax residents in the country. Never mind his assault on my constitutional rights. He is right up there with Clinton and Obama as far as being maniacal and evil.

I hear he spends every weekend in Bermuda with armed police officers on detail.

Bloomie has a special treaty with Bermuda for his island. The government of Bermuda exercises no authority there, so Bloomberg has his own private military.

I assume they're armed with more than high-cap handguns and automatic weapons. He's hinted at his anti-aircraft and anti-ship capabilities. And he buys them all on the worldwide arms free market, rather than having snitches try a strawman purchase on some FFL-licensed gun dealer in Podunk, Wyoming.

He spoke quite impressively, in fact. No showboating, no Obama nonsense, only facts, facts, facts as they were coming in. What has happened? Did he actually take this a bit personally?

Well, he either had the good sense enough to keep himself out of it, or his managers had the sense to make sure he did that.

Yes, you’ve set the bar too low. I have no interest in hijacking this solemn thread about those 60 plus injured and 4 killed in this awful train derailment onto the cold Hudson River Bank, but Cuomo can cry me a river.

from New American, Jun 2013:
“... a bill pushed hard by Gov. Andrew Cuomo that would have given New York women the “right” to abort their babies after 24 weeks of pregnancy has failed in the State Senate, killing the measure for now. The measure was a central plank of Cuomo’s supposed “women’s equality” platform that he touted in his January 9 State of the State address and which he promised to push in the spring legislative session.”

And Life Site News:

““41% of all viable pregnancies in New York City alone end in abortion—twice the national ratio. Nearly 8 in 10 New Yorkers believe there is already sufficient access to abortion in New York State, when they are informed of the number of abortions in New York. New Yorkers know increased access to abortion will not solve the underlying issues that lead to crisis pregnancies in the first place and will not help women.”

I had a few benign thoughts about the son of the sfacheme at the beginning. The SAFE ACT/law erased any fellings save anger and Hate for evil eye cuomo.

So did I. All I had to do was hear his monotone voice, devoid of any humanity, and I pegged him. I told all my friends, “Don’t vote for this man, he lacks a heart.” Not for nothing do my friends swear I have ESP, and they have done so for years. I knew he was going to be a disaster, indeed, he has quite ruined my life. I also feel DiBlahBlah is going to be a different sort of disaster.

Bloombutt is a JINO at best. He was taken to task a couple years ago for mocking Orthodox Jews. And Chanukah is not the sort of holiday which prohibits travel or use of phone or other electronic devices. No slack to cut there.

While in a shop in my neighborhood early this evening, I glanced up at the TV on the wall. Bloombutt was making some sort of boilerplate statement which might as well have been "BlahBlahBlah."

DiBlahBlah, the mayor-elect, was also making some sort of sympathetic noises into a microphone. Since he is not yet mayor, I wondered WHY he had to make any sort of statement at all. I'm sure he could care less about the Metro-North victims. Unless they were Communists.

Once, during a blizzard in the 80s, but my ad agency had hotel rooms at the Marriott Time Square, so I just went back there and stayed for the night. I wouldn’t use the restrooms; I’d find someplace else, like Le Cirque, 21 Club or Smith & Wolensky’s, even if I had to buy a $100 meal. But my other employer, Hertz RAC, also had hotel rooms at Ritz Carlton, so I stayed there.

He may yet, of course, turn this into a major political coup. If he can get Obama, I suppose, to come out and hug someone.

“I hear he spends every weekend in Bermuda with armed police officers on detail.”

I hadn’t heard about the armed police officers, but that was my understanding too, that he spent long weekends, three days of every week in Bermuda, not only outside New York City, not only outside New York State, but outside the country.

There was a massive snowstorm a couple years back where both he and his second in command were both out of the city, though he kept sidestepping that fact. Thankfully, that ended talk of his running for the presidency.
