JUST OPT OUT. Roll the dice.

Exactly. .....The new higher premiums include higher co-pays and higher deductions, and most people will never exceed the higher deductions (barring serious illness or an accident).

Open a separate bank account (or get a large Mayonnaise jar to keep in a hidey-hole in the back yard) and put a portion of your income into it each month for medical expenses. Why separate? So the money is set aside for a specific purpose and it reduces the temptation to spend the money on something else.

Cheaper than the OCare and you can pay cash for routine services throughout the year. ....The new deductibles are ridiculously high on purpose; most people will never exceed them, so the insurance doesn’t have to pay anything but a small portion of co-pay.

Yep, and guess who gets to choose your doctor when you pay your own bills?

YOU do.
