It's becoming more and more so.

In 1959, a majority (60%) of Americans wanted to make possession of handguns illegal. It's unthinkable that such a position would be held by the majority today.

What the heck happened to America if 60% of Americans could support banning handguns? Was it immigration, progressivism, FDR, the warfare-welfare state programming?
