In a private meeting early last month, Roger Ailes told colleagues that he plans to do for Fox Business Network in 2014 what he has been doing at Fox News in 2013: change nearly everything. CNBC tops FBN essentially every hour of every day in the ratings, sometimes by an order of magnitude.

This has to be one of the worst networks ever. Liz Claiman alone makes it the worst, but there is also, Varney, that trashy woman on Imus show, and the extremely annoying Cavuto. Every show is a screaming shoutfest. Reminds me of the old Gong show with less class. As liberal as CNBC is, FBN is an embarrassment to FNC family

for the longest time FBN was a “pay extra” channel on our Dish. I think it just became available for free sometime earlier this year. Wonder if it is now free on all of Dish and Direct too? Maybe it hasn’t had a chance to catch on just yet as most probably didn’t want to pay for it?

So Fox Business needs more blond chicks with short skirts?

Fox business on my cable is 123 and CNBC is 41. FBN is good, but CNBC is on when I check the markets.

The trashy woman I was referring to is Dagan McDowell. She has taken on the role of financial porn queen.

Same here, but FBN is at 260 and CNBC is at 68, in the middle of every other cable news channel.

In addition, FBN quotes currencies from a USD prospective, not how they are actually traded.

"... that trashy woman on Imus show"

ah yes, Dagen McDowell. The only reason I watch Imus.

That, and her sister Megan ...

From a cold start in 2007, FBN is now on ratings par with CNBC despite having 20 million less potential viewers.

They must be doing something right.

Alright.

My suggestion to Mr. Ailes is look at Bloomberg business.

I strongly dislike Bloomberg’s political stands, but his cable television station is not bad.

I would jump to Fox Business in a second, if they were more appealing.

I would even consider an Asian anchor, but thst’s just a suggestion.

Always intended to give the FoxBiz channel more of a chance, especially as an alternative to FoxNews itself, which has irritatingly been veering in bad directions so much over the past few years.

But having that putrid Don Imus on the network just gave it such an unpalatable stink, it made me disinclined to ever check the channel out. Now that I’ve ditched my dish, it’s a moot point, as I no longer have access to the channel.

She’s gorgeous. The accent? It must be an acquired taste.

Here’s the prescription for FBN. Hire Joe Kernan and Rick Santelli away from CNBC. Pay them whatever it takes. Create a similarly formatted show to CNBC’s Squawk Box.

It would be a ratings hit. And we wouldn’t have to listen to the liberal trash that infects CNBC. Everyone forgets Ailes used to run CNBC, created a lot of the popular shows, and hired the talent.

And take Imus out behind the barn and blow his addled brains out.
