Steelers coach Mike Tomlin was fined $100,000 by the NFL on Wednesday for his near-collision with the Ravens kick returner Jacoby Jones on Thanksgiving night.
The NFL is also considering downgrading one of Pittsburghs draft picks after the order is set, a source told NFL.coms Ian Rapoport.

The fairest thing to do would be to take the Steelers’ last-round draft pick & give it to the Ravens (assuming the Steelers finish lower than the Ravens) & the Ravens give their last round pick to the Steelers...a simple swap which bumps up the Ravens a little in that round.
(Certainly no white baseball player...like ya know...say, the Red Sox...would get in the way of a player on the move!)
And if Tomlin is fined this much, what will happen to the wing-ref who didn’t even toss his flag?
I tell ya, Roger... Barry would have if we could have ever got him that near the sidelines.

The problem is that the other teams in the AFC North get penalized by granting the Ravens a higher pick, not just the Steelers.
TV news showed his expression after the event. He looked smug and quite satisfied with himself.
Might be missing something, and I'm definitely no Steelers fan, but is there evidence the front office was behind it? If not, penalize the man, not the team. Sick of this Obamacized America, where innocent people are punished for things they never did.
Not necessarily -- especially IF the order of the teams in that conference finishes as is: 1. Cincy 2. Baltimore 3. Pitt 4. Cleveland
Since I suggested the last round...Cleveland then would already be done drafting by the time Pitt's pick (given to the Ravens) would come up...so it doesn't effect the Browns.
And the Bengals are already in position to draft AFTER BOTH Balt. & Pitt. Their draft order isn't touched.
I don't have a problem with Tomlin's coaching, but the Steelers need some talent at all levels. Even the best coach can't make a silk purse out of this sow’s ear.
I don’t know if I agree about the draft pick, but I’d be good with a heftier fine. It’s my understanding that Tomlin has pulled this stunt before.
you are having too much fun!
thanks for the laughs
I’ve been a fan in the past, but once the stories about Roethlisberger surfaced, I was very disenchanted, not to mention disgusted. I still like Polamalu, though.
That jumbotron must be mesmerizing. How could Tomlin resist its magnetic pull?
DAMN he got off so easy. Black Privilege.
He absolutely knew exactly what he was doing. It was hard to tell in the original video, except for the grin on his face afterward which pretty much gave it away. Then, someone zoomed in on that video, and you could see him looking over his shoulder trying to time his “leap” from the sideline. Then, a few days after the game, THIS video came out, and in this one, you can clearly see Tomlin slidestep over to that spot along the sideline only as it becomes apparent that Jones is breaking down that sideline:
draft pick is too much.. the threat of a draft pick should be enough of a deterrent. I see coaches step on the field all the time and every once in a while, a penalty is called.
Why wasn’t the bastard thrown out of the NFL? Oops . . . he’s a Rooney affirmative action son of Obambi . . . and I’m sure the SOB is still laughing. What else will the NFL allow the Steelers to do?
“Oh he knew it. Pulling a Woody Hayes”
Please explain...or do you not know what you are talking about?
‘The officials awarded the TD to my school and called an unsportsmanlike penalty’
That is the rule.
