“... black constituents told her they feel threatened by the growth of the neighborhood’s Jewish community...”
What is the threat??? Clean neighborhood??? Peaceful neighborhood??? Prosperous neighborhood????
Need an “A-Team” of 250#+ black belts. Hang out on their street corners wearing yarmulkes. They’re paying 5k reward for each one of these yos you bring in.
Their accomplishments make the black “community” look bad.

The theat is higher rents. As the neighborhood improves, more affluent people start to move in the the rent increases. This is what liberalism brings, fear of a better neighborhood, and resentment of others more successful than yourself.
I spent a some time in Lakewood NJ, which has a very large Haredi Jewish population because of the seminary there. The Haredi are some of the most insular people you will find anywhere. Their children are trained not to look at outsiders. Once I asked an old man stumbling along in the heat, leaning on cars as he went, if he needed help. I stood eight feet away, knowing of their strictures about interacting with women. He looked at me as if I were the devil, straightened up and walked away down the middle of the road! There was a scandal that summer because a man had said he was a “returning Jew” and had been welcomed into the community. He and his family were apparently sincere about studying Judaism, keeping kosher, etc, but when it was discovered that he was not in fact born Jewish, the Haredi reacted with horror and a sense of contamination: We ate their food! We let their children play with our children!
They deliver votes as a bloc - a 100% bloc sometimes, and they act with unified economic power, i.e., buying an apartment building and making it an apartment building for seminary students and their families. They do plan to take over neighborhoods that suit their needs, as in being able to walk to synagogue on the Sabbath. Yes, they pay owners fair market price or better, which does push out poorer people, and tends to push out non-Jews at the tipping point. Who wants to be an outsider in a place where the children won’t even look at you?
As with Muslims, their own personal virtues do not spill over into the larger society and make it better. When their neighbors act badly (drunkenness, criminality, disorganization) it confirms them in their insularity and sense of superiority.
