Speaker John Boehner said the Republican Party ought to openly support gay candidates — a blunt statement that’s sure to ratchet up tensions among traditional conservatives who see the GOP as straying from core principles and wading into political territories held by Democrats.
Mr. Boehner’s exact words, reported by Politico: Republicans should not only “be a little more sensitive” when running against women candidates, but they should also support openly gay individuals who are seeking higher office.
“I do,” he said, in reference to supporting gays for Republican seats, Politico reported.

Regardless whether its the right thing to do or whether its the right thing to do politically, it DEFINITELY is not the smart thing to do to makes such an announcement publicly. Boehner is either a complete idiot or is intentionally attempting to undermine the conservative/libertarian cause.
He has got to go and as soon as possible. A big part of the our current predicament is the pathetic leadership we have.

Boehner labors under the delusion that gay is the new black, the new, protected demographic that exists because of genetic fate, so he wants Republicans to celebrate the apotheosis of iconic gays into the liberal godhood by voting for them. No thanks. Turn them into a cultural fresco by exhibiting homosexuality everywhere, in everything, and the sum of what you get is more perversion.
