Almost 11 million people couldn’t find a job in November, and for those who don't earn a paycheck, unemployment benefits work for the economy, too, a leading Democrat says.

“Economists agree that unemployment benefits remain one of the best ways to grow the economy in a very immediate way,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (R-Calif.) said at a news conference on Thursday.

She spoke after Democrats held a hearing on the impending expiration of unemployment benefits—an “essential lifeline that millions of Americans and their families depend on,” Pelosi said. …

You can tell by their statements, these people have no idea how the private sector works.

Pelosi: Extending Unemployment ‘One of Best Ways to Grow the Economy’

She owns a couple of vineyards, so more people going through life "fat, drunk and stupid" -- and "unemployed" -- grows her economy!

And when she and those who trumpet the “7% unemployment rates” as proof that the economy is booming, nobody in the MSM seems to get a whiff of the dichotomy of a booming economy and the need to keep extending jobless benefits, which have been extended and re-extended beyond anything in the past.

Pelosi got her BS degree in stupid from the University of Imbeciles - SF, & a masters degree in mendacity from the University of Liars - WDC.

Rather than being House minority leader, she needs to be housed in an institution for the criminally insane.

Lowering taxes is ‘One of Best Ways to Grow the Economy’

But this is the Bizarro World.

A labor force that can read, write, do math and follow instructions is one of the best ways to grow the economy.

(But policies that could lead to that goal would annoy some of the Democrat Party's most sacred cows.)

Two items: I like to know who the "economists," are, and second, when did Nazi Pelosi become a republican?

Does anyone think that Bush would have been reelected with +7% unemployment?

And that’s just the government estimate. The range is actually much higher.

If “Unemployment benefits” are so great for the economy, why limit them to the unemployed?

These who think Pelosi is an ignorant slut, stupid, idiot, moron are not understanding how libtards like her think...they are missing the mark

She is not these things...

She does not care what the conservative base or even the RINO base think of her statements...she is not embarrassed to say these things because "the end justify the means" is part of her dictum...

Her statements are purely for her moonbat base...they buy her pablum...because they are low information voters and actually believe what she says....and live in her district...

The employment rate for the last four years or so is the lowest it's been in 30 years.

I work for a State Dept. of Labor and Industry and run the Federal extended UC program. I see many people who think they can just ride on UC and then when it runs out go and find a job. I keep reminding them of how mistaken they are. I also see many who wont take a job with a lesser salary as well and end up finding nothing.

The U3 data is cooked and total BS; the U6 is closer to the truth, but knowing that so many millions are uncounted and dropped-off the data sheet, I don’t trust that either.

Despite the knee-jerk, agonized cries and wailing that are made whenever the word “tariffs” are used, the question has to be raised: “How ‘unthinkable’ are they, really?”

For all the “dollar signs in the eyes accompanied by ‘ka-ching sounds” you observe from the proponents of “free trade”, everyone should note that only *they* seem to make a lot of money in the deal, whereas everyone else gets screwed, our industries getting outsourced, our unemployment skyrocketing, and our standard of living dropping.

So, how helpful to typical Americans is membership in the WTO, NAFTA, GATT, FTAA, and now the TPP? Yeah, in the short term, Wal-Mart is filled to the brim with Chinese made products. But if you are unemployed, with no job prospects, and taxes subsidizing other countries economies, how better off are you?

Imagine if we were to just leave several of these “free trade” agreements, and pass some tariff laws against foreign produced products being dumped on our market for far less than we could make it?

Granted, it would be like shoving a red hot poker up the bottom of the internationalists. But then again, they don’t support our country in the first place, do they?

I know Rats have a play book they all go by

One thing you can say about Democrats......they are committed. They have no problem reciting the same lie over and over until it becomes the truth.
