One of my rules of life - anyone who has a gun is God, especially when you do not. Another rule - never smart mouth a cop - you are not going to win. Especially in the dead of night and/or when you are alone. Last part learned from experience.

Yep - learned my lesson not to mouth off to a cop and the age of 16.
Andd lots of threads on FR have the kid, husband, etc. killed after saying to someone with a gun “you don’t have the guts”, “you wouldn’t dare..”, etc.
