India's Supreme Court on Wednesday threw out a 2009 ruling by a lower court that had decriminalised gay sex, in a major blow to gay rights in the world's largest democracy.

This is a huge blow to the global Homosexual lobby that spent tons of money in influencing public opinion and politicians in India.

A multi-religious coalition (see article) appealed against the judicial fiat by a lower Indian court and won today.

"...The top court stated that only India's government could change the law, deeming the Delhi High Court had overstepped its powers with the decision four years ago."

Well, here’s a foreign law that Justices Kennedy and Ginzberg will have to cite in their next opinions.

Sad that Russia and India have awakened to the harm caused to individuals and their societies by gays, but the US is going in the other direction to allow 2-3% of the population to get laws changed to permit more and more non-hetro behavior.

No need. Gays prefer to have sex in public places.

So what the ban really does is criminalize public gay sex.

No need. Gays prefer to have sex in public places.

Correction:

No need. Gays prefer to have sex in public places while forcing their enemies and children to watch.

Paudio: Like many other crimes which occur in the privacy of people's homes (elder-starving, wife-beating, abuse/neglect of children, etc.) enforcement is not based on universal home surveillance. It is based on either (1) reporting of physical evidence by a healthcare provider (e.g. gonorrhea of the throat in an 18-month-old), or (2)charges being brought by a victim.

This may (not "will", but may) provide a standing and cause for action of any homosexual who feels he was exploited in the relationship and seeks recompense through the courts.

Of course, it's also true that much homosexual activity occurs outside the home: public rest rooms, scenic views, parked cars, bars, back alleys, and other opportunistic venues. Anyone bothered by the gays scurrying in the bushes at their favorite recreational site, can call the cops.

Good.

It also conduces to additional legislation to make soliciting for, advertising, advocating, or conducting propaganda to juveniles for anal penetration, etc. illegal as well.

Twice as good.

Buggery is not a sacred human right. It is cause of social disintegration, and a public health disaster. India can't afford to tolerate that. Actually, nobody can.

Oh, and I forgot to say:

This will also make additional charges possible when someone's on trial for forcible rape, statutory rape of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, prostitution, and other criminal acts. The fact that an already-criminal indecency was the sexual exploitation of a minor of the same sex , for instance, could be an aggravating factor, or an add-on charge.

Good. At least India won't be teaching fisting in school-sponsored events, as was done in Massachusetts.

Having visited India, the fact that mostly Hindu India has laws against homosexuality proves that you don’t need to be Christian to see the harms of gay/lesbian conduct. Hinduism is officially neutral on the gay/lesbian topic-so India’s laws against gay/lesbian topic are secular as India likes to think of itself as a secular nation.

Homosexual behavior should be marginalized as tobacco use. You can be secular as India is am and see the harms of homosexual and lesbian behavior as you can see the harms of tobacco use. Many homosexuals and lesbians suffered child molestation and had this not happened, the likelihood is less of them committing homosexual behaviors. There possibly are other causes such as genetics or biology, but there are also proven biological reasons for tobacco use. If they discover cure for homosexuality, then this topic becomes a moot point. Uganda also has laws against homosexuality and their reasoning is secular. Ugandan and Indian citizens are usually not telling other nations what their laws on homosexuality should be so we have no right to tell Uganda and India that how to run their nation.

Finally what is worse than homosexuality is transexuality-abolish sex change mutilations. Sex changes sadly happen because science knows how to do it-sex changes are useless mutilations. Transexuals are mutilated homosexuals. Transexuality is a sad science waste-if a man thinks he is an animal trapped in a human body it would be bad for a Dr. to surgically alter his voice , train him to be animal and put a fake tail, horns, etc. Sex change maimings which is mutilating some1 to make them fake members of opposite sex is comparable to trying to make a man a fake animal such as a goat because he thinks he is an animal. Most feminists are not speaking against this. 1 would hope that feminists would oppose the mutilation that happened to Chastity Sun Bono. Transexuals are mutilations which no Dr. should take part in, yet most feminists are not condemning this female genital and breast mutilation as what happened to Chastity S. Bono where her healthy breasts were mutilated, dangerous hormone shots and her genitals mutilated.

My thoughts exactly.
