Barry Setterfield has done the heavy cosmological work of showing that the Earth has to be approximately 6000 years old based on the expansion of the universe and the observed ‘quantized’ red shifts.

But God says the heavens and earth are old, very very old. This age of souls/spirit intellect being placed in flesh and blood bodies is what is around six thousand years. Peter (IIPeter 3) says there are three different heaven/earth worlds = ages.

That first heaven/earth world, that WAS, was destroyed when the first rebel rebelled. Genesis 1:2.
