Latino groups reject charge that immigration protesters are harassing Republicans

Complaints that immigration reform activists are harassing Republicans by sending children to confront House Speaker John Boehner at breakfast or singing protest songs at the Capitol tree lighting drew a sharp rebuke from Latino leaders Tuesday. “I understand it can be a little painful to be face-to-face with the consequences of your inaction and that’s what we are bringing to the doorstep of Congress and to their offices at the district level,” said Clarissa Martinez-De-Castro, an immigration expert at the National Council of La Raza. She said the tactics pale in comparison to a father not coming home after a shift, a child not seeing his mom or a U.S. citizen losing her breadwinner spouse and not knowing how she’ll make ends meet. “If bringing those stories to the doorstep of Congress is harassment, then we are happy to do it,” Martinez De Castro said. Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., told Politico the activists had killed reform. “It’s over. It’s dead. They killed it,” he told Politico. “I begged them not to do crazy things and they decided to be crazy. Now it’s dead. That’s what they get. It’s stupid. Why target the people who actually want to do reform?”

“They’ve been deporting our community and we are going to vote to deport them out of office,” Monterroso said...According to the latinos they do not want a nation of laws. They think nobody should be deported.La Raza, just how many legal latino families have no jobs, cannot find any jobs ? We have millions of people from all walks of life suffering, from lack of employment. Older Americans are finding out nobody wants to hire them. They want younger workers so they can pay them less. Our older Americans are having mental break downs because their livelihoods have been taken away from them.Yet all La Raza can talk about is pushing aside American citizens and paving the way for illegal aliens by giving them everything and kicking Americans to the curb. How hard up is La Raza that they must use kids, expose them to adult situations. How about American fathers and mothers who will not be coming home tonight because an illegal alien driving without license /insurance/driving drunk causes a fatal accident and takes off and flee's.With groups like La Raza blaming immigration laws for why the person fled and too bad for the Americans.

Republicans are not a protected group, so there is no way any group can harass them.

They don’t have the power.

Our corrupt liberal politicians and media have managed to create a perception that criminals, lawbreakers, and parasites are the “good guys” and that everyday people and elected representatives who respect the constitution and laws are the “bad guys”.

They are well on the way to turning us into a lawless society.

When that happens they will be surprised to find that they will suffer along with everyone else.

Alinsky would be so proud! There is no issue that the Left won't beat to death, using children, the elderly and anyone else that can walk or shout. And these are the people who Obama is using to try to bully the business community into raising the minimum wage. Not American workers......WAKE UP, AMERICA!

The Israelis call them infiltrators.

That seems quite accurate to me.

“Your community” is here illegally. violating our immigration laws.

If we did that to Mexico we know what would happen there. Ask any of the folks caught sneaking into Mexico from their southern border.

Foreigners who sneak into the country and then disrupt government meetings should be executed.

It seems there are also a number of Republicans who are not adverse to the cheap labor, legal or illigal. The same can be said for Democrats.

not adverse to the cheap labor, legal or illigal.

Just think of the cheap labor available if only the domestic parasites had to work for their food stamps, and live in barracks.

You want to be legal, go back to your home country. Take your children with you. You want to work, get a job in your home country.

You want civil rights, get them from your country.

They should be made out-law, and a bounty put on each one.

She is right. Boehner should be doing a lot more to get these people deported.

If he had done his job right those kids would be in Mexico where they belong.

If these people want to change things, if they feel they can change things with these methods why not use them in their own country.

Mexico is a country with abundant natural resources. The only thing keeping Mexico a poor country is Mexicans and the Mexican government.

These children should be marching in Mexico City and protesting Mexican legislatures for changes to the way Mexico is governed. The US has more than enough citizens to do the work in this country without importing more low wage, low skilled workers.

If Mexicans want to change a government why don’t they start at home.
