which is still a state run settlement for former (then involuntary) patients
been there when they used to run the mule trail ride down and back (only real way in and off back then)
not such an unusual event
one of the most gorgeous locations on earth, but a scene of history’s great misery
imagine it is quite hazardous to take off from the peninsula with the sheer cliffs surrounding, sounds like they just didn’t make it, depending on where you are typical surface weather is trades at 18kts and seas at 25-30’ (been there sailed that)
I remember a Navy or Coast Guard plane going down off Molokai many years ago
Oddly enough, she was the only one who died. I don’t think she was murdered, but it just seems odd only one person died, and it is her.
