I don’t have to, Keep in mind that we have a rogue government that pretty much does what it damn well feels like.
The last time I looked, we were still structurally, and very much in practice - a Constitutional Republic. That’s what we were set up as.
The fact that you have some representatives that you don’t like and they vote in ways that you don’t approve of - doesn’t change the structure of the system. It’s still the same system. All that means (in terms of those representatives) is that you must gather a political coalition together to get rid of them - and that’s exactly what this “Constitutional Republic” would have you do about it.
So get to working on growing that political coalition ... :-) ...
