The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says it is on target to conduct nearly 1 million background checks this year on private firearm purchases. The projection comes as the department is reporting a record number of reviews conducted over the Thanksgiving weekend that typically kicks off the year-end holiday shopping season.

WHAT? Gun sales are up? Thanks to the "lyin' king" we have record amounts of checks being done. Now if we could just get the nut cases to register.............. Of course he believes in the RKBA. NOT!

Liberals never learn. The more they exaggerate/glorify violence in America and the more they threaten the rights of citizens, the more gun owners, enthusiasts and and CCWers they create.
I had a gun store owner tell me business booms when liberals run the country. Every time liberals make a push to regulate, ban or otherwise weapons, ammo and/or accessories, they ramp up orders in preparation for the expected rise in demand. It’s far more predictable than the stock market.
Can you imagine what would happen to prices of weapons and ammo if the libs quit pushing their gun control legislation ideas? (Maybe nothing but...)

Just guessin’ here that I may have something under the tree. Possibly stainless with a 20” barrel. Maybe a camo case for it too. But I don’t really “know”. LOL!

Anti-gun nuts are unable, or unwilling to get it. About 20 yrs ago some of the homeless from NYC were sent to a former vocational school the city bought and converted into a shelter in Chester, about 1 hr away. Immediately, there was a rash of burglaries, assaults, muggings and other "quality of life" issues. In what could only be described as either cluelessness, or shrewdness, one of the councilmen from Chester told the local newspaper he was "shocked" and "concerned" about the sudden increase in concealed carry permits submitted to the Orange Cty Sheriff's office. Well GOOD GOLLY! the crime rate in and around the town of Chester plummeted almost overnight and soon after NYC closed down that shelter.

What I want is a 40mm L60 Bofors gun like was shown on “Sons of Guns: World's Largest Machine Gun”, episode 46 (2012). To be sure, the ammo is pricey and you need a good range to shoot it, but how cool is this? The Bofors in question was bought by the Austrians in 1938, survived WW2, and was modernized with a one man control station for the Austrian Army. You need a second person to drop 4-round clips in the loader and another to pass rounds to the guy at the loader. Cyclic rate is 120-160 rounds per minute on automatic or you can fire single shots. This is one man's toy that requires very DEEP pockets with lots of dollars to feed.

Increased gun sales, but so what?! It’s not like the people are going to rise up against their government. If they won’t do it against Obama and his cohorts, they will *never* do it.

What I want is a 40mm L60 Bofors gun like was shown onI learned to fire, field strip and maintain one of those things when I was in the Naval Reserve back in the 1940s. Very nice gun. Don't know that I could afford one now, though.

Shoot, I had you pegged as a soccer player so I guess you will have to take back the long socks and the soccer ball. I’m glad I had them print out a gift receipt.

I made the acquaintance of the Mk 2 Mod 0 quad 40mm Bofors water-cooled gun in 1969 on my ship that was part of the Mobile Riverine Force (TF-117) in the Mekong River Delta. From 1970 to 1976 I worked on and shot the Mk 3 Mod 0 air-cooled Bofors on PTFs.
The Bofors is the best heavy machine gun of its type ever built. Modernized 40mm L70 guns still serve with various armed forces around the globe in ground and maritime configurations.
