I’m a little worried about the Madagascar plague too. The mullahs could have sent the infected all over the Christian world. I’ll get a whole lot more worried when mysterious flu-like deaths start showing up elsewhere.
Tinfoil scenario B is a person returning home from vacation in Madagascar with the plague.

Plague is easily treated with cheap antibiotics and is endemic in rodents in the western half of the US already.

It’s not the big scary disease it used to be except in remote areas of third world countries that lack adequate medical care.

Even a pneumonic outbreak would be quickly stopped by handing out doxycycline to everyone like candy.

The plague in Madagascar is the bubonic plague, caused by Yersinia pestis, which is already present in the US. It is treatable with antibiotics.
