For tens of thousands of years, people lived their lives without our modern health care industry. We can, too.
We cannot participate in this system without supporting it and if we are by our conduct supporting it, we have no right to complain much.
I’ve heard that in some cases the coverage does not cross county lines.
The “local coverage” means that if you live in upstate New York you can’t use the fancy hospitals, the specialty ones, in NYC, or if you live in Southern New hampshire, the excellent cancer hospitals in Boston are off limits. Live in Arizona, can’t use the hospitals in LA.
This will mean that the specialty hospitals, Mayo Clinic, Dana Farber, will go bankrupt. And people will die, if they can’t afford to get to a European hospital, or one in Mexico.
AHA is designed to crash the system.
Forgot about that.
Yes, my cousin is a medical device salesman in MO (and he’s probably going to get dinged on the device side too), and if he’s out in KS or up in IA, and gets sick, he’s going to be SOL. Worse, his “hobby” is amateur-level motorcycle roadracing, and if he gets banged up on a track down in TX, he’s fscked.
Yavw (You are very welcome)
I noticed this with my Medicare Advantage plan. The first notice I got about changes said that you weren’t able to use “out of network” physicians, yet the plan brags that is has “no networks”. Then, they announced that there were no contracts in place in certain areas of the country and also in certain areas of Wisconsin.
I stuck with the plan because it has served me well in the past. But, I’ve had no luck clarifying these new rules. I guess we just have to pray that we don’t get sick away from home.
It is amazing Americans were told by pelousi rat that the bill had to be passed for us to know what was in the bill and now that the bill is passed we still are having trouble finding out and understanding what is in the bill. Am fearing the worst and believe this is why we are not hearing what is truly the worst yet regarding what is signed law. Orwellian to say the least.
I got critically ill in my hometown. I needed a heart operation to save my life but a cardiac surgeon wasn’t on the local hospital staff. The air ambulance service ferried me to a big city hospital where the operation could be done. I didn’t have to pay for emergency care.
But if its a routine illness, you may be out of luck today.
Under Obamacare, I think you would have been out of luck even for emergency care. Or at least, you’d face a heavy bill.
By design . Freedom of travel and the ability of workers to vote with their feet and leave a liberal cesspool prevents the desired takeover.
Consider the salesman. Work all day, fly all night. On the road from Monday thru Friday. Outside his local network!!!
Can he afford to pay double or triple his regular rate? Hell, no. Will his company pay for his extended geographic coverage? Can they afford to?
Is this regard, Obamacare will change the way we do business in the USA. Hands on, face-to-face meetings will become a thing of the past.
Actually I think private pay as you go will come back
If you live in Marin County, California and commute across the Golden Gate to San Francisco, you're leaving your coverage area.
Mayo Clinic, Sloan-Kettering, M.D. Anderson, Cedars-Sinai, etc. have already withdrawn from the system and will not accept Obamacare patients.
The scheduled compensation rates are a fraction of their costs.
Yes ,.. Orwellian to say the least !!
The new 'Berlin Wall' is medical/economic here in the USSA.
Remember that in 2014, when you think that your vote doesn't count ,.. or chose to stay home !
I fully expect this was factored in when the “inventors” of nobamacare created it.
Let’s not lose track of the fact that nobamacare exists for one reason and one reason only: to get us to single payer as fast as possible, maybe before nobama leaves office.
Since have never stayed home yet instead made my way to vote each and every time eligible, my prayer is everyone, eligible, votes this time. Maybe will be the only way to stop the train this crowd has hijacked using the ineligible.
This should be a wake up call foe those with good health; do all you can with nutrition and exercise to keep it. Those that need elective surgery should really consider going abroad and paying cash. Don’t buy into the system.
ObummerCrap is "amorpheus" , meaning that it is constantly changing, and only superficially represents what law was passed by Congress.
ACA /Affordable Care is changing each day, according to whomever is interpreting it.
It is like Jello , lacking consistant form , but you know that it is there.
THey are making the rules up as they go along , and it changes frequently ,... and is a fraud , .. and illegal .
And the GOPe go along with it , because they read the local Washington newspapers, and believe their bile attacks , and have forgotten the folks at home.
That is the real intention of 'Term Limits' , to have representatives not get caught up in the Washington arrogance , and forget the folks who put them there !
In the mean time , we have to deal with it ... until the ' purge ', ... or cleansing
Sure, if you're OK with what one's average life expectancy (~30-40 years old) was back then too.
FReegards!
No it does not. It is a constant and is criminal. zer0 and his crowd have always been criminals. You can't go to the root to pull the problem out if you are constantly being distracted by the trunk and leaves.
