BREAKING! Duck Dynasty Overnight Ratings – Marathon loses 6.4M viewers since last week!!

The overnight ratings are in for Duck Dynasty. One week ago, DD topped all of cable’s ratings with 8.885 million viewers. Last night, they free fell down the list to 2.521 million viewers.

That is a drop of 6.364 million viewers, or 71.6%.

The man is a traditional Christian. He was asked in a magazine interview, not part of his TV show, to share his personal beliefs. He did so and paraphrased 1Corinthians 6:9-11. His beliefs are those of traditional Christianity. He believes the life choices of some will lead them to have a problem in having an eternal relationship with the Creator but he did not advocate hatred of others. He thinks their beliefs are wrong. He doesn’t understand them from a personal point of view. But he advocates no action against anyone. He did not wish death on others and in fact specifically stated he loved all of God’s children. Oprah, on the other hand, looks forward to all the old white people dying because as she said, “Racism will end when all the old white people die.” So the contrast drawn here is between a man who says he loves all people even those he doesn’t understand and a woman who wishes millions were dead. This piece simply laments his demonization and that of all Americans who have opinions that run contrary to those of the politically correct activists who dominate the culture wars of today.

The ratings need to drop on A&E in general, not D.D.

They should take their roadshow to the Sportsman Channel. It’s the one Sarah Palin has a show coming on in a month or so. It seems like it would be a nice fit. That or the Hallmark Channel.
