Cracker Barrel has become the first sponsor to cut bait with "Duck Dynasty" ... but not entirely.
The Southern-themed food chain reacted to Phil Robertson's anti-gay comments by removing "selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests" from their stores and restaurants.
We called a bunch of Cracker Barrel stores, and the managers told us the products that were removed were the ones that had Phil's face plastered on the packaging. Almost to a person, the managers added, "We still offer a wide variety of Duck Commander products," and then we heard a click.
C.B. offers this explanation ... "We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture."

Somehow I suspect this is where Bill O’Reilly dines out.
Except for Phil Robertson, of course.
CB is still gunshy after their own brush with the PC Gestapo about a decade (or two) ago.
But, they’re off my restaurant list anyway. Any place that chooses sodomites over Christians is not a place that I want touching my food.
Cracker Barrel's statement led to confusion among some customers who wondered if the restaurant was removing Duck Dynasty products owned by A&E or products owned by the Robertson family's Duck Commander business.
Cracker Barrel did not return phone calls seeking clarification or comment.

LOL! Know your market! I dare say, many of the folk who chow-down at CB also watch DD and do not like this asinine PC maneuver. I think CB just shot off its own foot! Phil and family must be sitting around bemused at all the frantic silliness.

Just make sure you buy from Duck Commander, and not Duck Dynasty (Walmart).
A&E gets a share of all Duck Dynasty merchandise sold. Duck Commander is the Robertson family's business.
But alas, that's not the case here. Especially at this time of year.

Oh well, this will be an opportunity to explore some new dining establishments.
I love their grilled catfish with a side of biscuits and gravy, even though that stuff didn’t do my diet any good. But until things change, no more for us.
Less of a restaurant, more of an elaborate practical joke.
You need to understand that liberals are hypocritical.
Remember how all the liberals stood up in support of Martin Bashir when he said those awful things about Sarah Palin?
Remember how all the liberals stood up in support of the Dixie Chicks when they said they were embarrassed George W. Bush was from Texas?
But, now they attack Phil Robertson for speaking about his views on gays and want to prohibit his Freedom of Speech!
They are all hypocrites.

You don't alienate your core customers just for the sake of getting kudos from a tiny, oppressive minority that will still hate your guts anyway.
I like their food. But they’re not the only restaurant around that sells it.
