Steve Martin is under fire for tweeting a racist joke and offending many of his fans on Twitter, though he did delete it himself and apologize immediately.
The actor/comedian was having some fun on Twitter, answering questions about grammar rules, in what is one of his usual hilarious social media routines.
Then, things took a bad turn.
When one of the 68-year-old's followers when one asked him "Is this how you spell lasonia?" Martin then replied with this racially charged joke:
"It depends. Are you in an African-American neighborhood or at an Italian restaurant?"
As mentioned, Martin quickly took the tweet down, and apologized immediately.

Then this joke is even worse than I originally thought. If you’re going to be RACIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIST, Steve, do it with panache!

Many tend to make the assumption that liberals are an homogenous group of average Americans. They aren’t. They are basically a liberal leaning group controlled by liberal elites of which community organizers are on the bottom leadership rungs.
The liberal elites represent a small faction that have figured out how to manipulate and control the thought process of liberal tending masses for the express purpose of gaining power,ruling us and gaining access to taxpayer funds. It is a war for $$$$ and hearts and minds. They use propaganda tactics and political correctness as a means to keep average Joes infighting and fired up and clueless to the reality going on around them.

So if Martin had tweeted something that made fun of the Irish or Italians, would that be racist? No. And what he did tweet was not racist either. Unless it is racist to kid about the cultural affectations of certain ethnic groups. If a black comedian kidded about the pronunciations or phrases of white Midwesterners like me, would that be racist? Again, no. People are getting their knickers in a twist about nothing.
